• Starter (free) — every tool family, single-file workflows, real-world per-job limits (1 GB video, 50 MB audio, 2 MB CSV, 10 MB image, 2 MB / 50-page PDF).
• Pro (£7/mo or £70/yr) — 10× the per-job limits, batch processing up to 50 files, API/MCP access via @jadapps/runner, saved workflows.
• Pro + Media (£19/mo or £190/yr) — AI audio (RNNoise denoise, EBU R128 loudness), AI video (4K colour grading, HDR, H.265/AV1), 100 GB streamed per audio/video job.
• Developer (£39/mo or £390/yr) — code generation (TS/Zod/SQL/Python/Bash), 5 GB CSV / 2 GB PDF / 100 GB video, unlimited rows and batches, CLI/SDK, outbound webhooks.
• Enterprise (custom) — unlimited file sizes, white-label, dedicated account manager, 99.9 % SLA, custom integrations.

Annual billing saves roughly 17 % (two months free) on every paid tier. You can switch between monthly and annual at any time from the Stripe billing portal — Stripe pro-rates the difference automatically.

Visit the pricing page and click the upgrade button. If you're already on a paid plan, the button opens the Stripe billing portal where you can switch plans or billing interval — Stripe pro-rates the difference.

Go to your Dashboard, click Manage billing & invoices to open the Stripe billing portal, and cancel from there. Your access continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for — after expiry your account drops back to Starter and your saved recipes / history are preserved.

We don't issue partial refunds for cancellation — you keep full access until the end of the period you've already paid for. If something went wrong (duplicate charge, accidental upgrade, you never used the account), email [email protected] and we'll sort it out.

All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Prices are listed in GBP; Stripe converts to your local currency at checkout and adds VAT / sales tax where applicable. JAD never sees or stores your card details.

Limits apply per job, not per month. Every tool execution starts with a fresh quota — there's no monthly cap on how many jobs you run. If your single file is bigger than the per-job limit, you either need a higher tier or you can split the file (e.g. PDF split → process pages → merge).

Yes. Every JAD tool runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly, Web Workers, Canvas, WebCodecs, WebGPU, and the Web Audio API. Your files are never uploaded to a JAD server, never proxied through one, and never written to one. This isn't a policy — it's the architecture. There is no upload endpoint.

Only what's needed to operate the service:

• Account data — email and name from Google OAuth
• Usage analytics — which tool was run, success/failure, file size in bytes (no file contents, no file names)
• Subscription data via Stripe — never card numbers
• Session cookie for auth (HTTP-only, SameSite=Lax)

You can request complete account deletion from Settings → Account. All your data is purged within 30 days. For a formal data subject access request (DSAR) or data export, email [email protected] — we respond within statutory timeframes (one calendar month under UK GDPR).

GDPR / UK GDPR: compliant by design — your file data never leaves your device, so there's no cross-border transfer to authorise. HIPAA: no PHI is ever transmitted or stored on JAD infrastructure, which removes the bulk of the technical risk. SOC 2 / ISO 27001: not currently certified — that's on the roadmap once team size warrants the audit cost. Browser-local processing answers a lot of questionnaire items differently from a typical SaaS.

Only the session cookie that keeps you signed in (set by NextAuth.js). No third-party tracking cookies, no advertising pixels, no analytics SDKs that read your activity. Stripe sets its own cookies on its hosted checkout page (those are managed entirely by Stripe).

No — free tools work without an account. An account is only needed for Pro features, batch processing, the API/MCP runner, and to track saved workflows. Sign-in is via Google OAuth.

Pro unlocks the heavier per-job limits, batch processing, and the API/MCP runner. It's not a paywall on the tool itself — most tools are available on Starter for single-file use. Pro pays for the resources (RAM, CPU time, multi-file workflows) and the engineering behind the WASM compilation pipeline.

Separate from the web tools, JAD ships a small set of Windows desktop apps: Inklet (modern Notepad clone, WinUI 3), MarkUp (Markdown editor), plus others in development. They're distributed via Microsoft Store and have their own GitHub repos. See the studio portfolio for the full list.

• Video tools need WebCodecs — Chrome 94+, Edge 94+, Firefox 130+, Safari 16+
• WebGPU acceleration (used in AI image tools, video grading) is fastest in Chrome and Edge
• Multi-threaded WASM (audio, video) needs cross-origin isolation — JAD ships the right headers by default

After the initial page load, most tools work offline. Audio, video, and AI image tools that download a WebAssembly module on first use need network access for that initial download. Once cached, they run offline.

Try a smaller file or a less aggressive setting first. If a Pro-tier file size is hitting the "Page Unresponsive" warning in Chrome, click Wait — JAD runs in Web Workers off the main thread, so the page warning is misleading. Yes — every paid tier ships with API and MCP access via @jadapps/runner, a small local agent paired to your account. Files, prompts, and outputs never touch JAD's infrastructure — the runner either calls the tool engine in-process or spins up a short-lived headless browser session for tools that need DOM/Canvas/ZIP. JAD's server only issues the JWT that pairs your runner to your account, stores your billing record, and stores the per-tool option schemas the runner needs to validate input. There is no relay server. Your script (or LLM, or Claude Desktop via MCP) calls the runner over localhost; the runner executes locally; the result returns to your script. JAD sees a count of which tool ran, nothing else.

MCP server is available from Pro upwards. The full CLI / SDK and code generation (TypeScript, Zod, SQL, Python, Bash) require Developer or Enterprise. Outbound webhooks are also Developer+.

Pro: 100 req/hr. Pro + Media: 500 req/hr. Developer and Enterprise: unlimited. All counts are runner→JAD coordination calls; the actual tool execution happens locally and has no JAD-side rate limit.

PGP / S/MIME isn't set up yet; for sensitive findings, ask in the email thread and we'll arrange a secure channel.

Not currently — we're a small team. We won't take legal action against good-faith research that respects user privacy and avoids degrading the service, and we'll credit reporters in the changelog if you'd like. Full disclosure terms on the Security page.

Public health probe at /api/health (JSON, suitable for uptime monitors). A customer-facing status page lives at status.jadapps.app. Material incidents are disclosed by email to affected customers and on the changelog.

Enterprise tier ships with a 99.9 % uptime target and a contractual response-time SLA tailored to your needs. Free, Pro, Pro + Media, and Developer plans run on best-effort uptime — historical availability is on the status page.

Sign-in is via Google OAuth — there's no password to remember or reset. Click Sign in, pick your Google account, and you're in. JAD never sees your Google password.

Because sign-in is tied to your Google account, the email on file tracks your Google account's primary email. If you've moved Google accounts and want to migrate your subscription, email [email protected] from the old address with the new address in the body.

From Settings → Account → Delete account. Your subscription cancels immediately (no further charges) and all account data is purged within 30 days. If you have an active paid plan, you can either cancel-and-keep- access-until-period-end, or delete-now-and-forfeit-the-remaining- time — your choice on the confirmation screen.
